SECTION 115

  • 3.

    The Construction Office will coordinate the dates and number of employees with the Engineer of Materials and will notify the District Engineer of the dates of the training.

  • 4.

    The Materials Division will furnish a grade sheet on each employee attending a training session in the laboratory to the State Construction Engineer who will forward them to the District Engineer for distribution.

    • (f)

      Computer Training. Courses have been prepared and given to selected

personnel in each Resident Engineer office to assist in training individuals in operating the computer. Additional training will be given as needed and on request.

Application based personal computer courses are also available through the State's Inter-Agency Training Program and Pulaski Technical College. These courses are open to personnel from the Resident Engineer Offices upon formal request and approval.

SECTION 116 SAFETY

116.01 General. The State Highway and Transportation Department is charged with one of the most important functions of government: the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

In order to accomplish this, the personal action and conduct of Construction Division employees must be in accordance with the intent and scope of the Safety Manual, which contains the safety policy of the Department.
