SECTION 125 AUDIT PROGRAM - CONSTRUCTION
125.01 Scope. This program sets forth the auditing procedures to be used by the Internal Audit Section. The on-site examination of construction costs is designed to determine the adequacy of practices, procedures, and records at the project level.
125.02 Audit Objectives. The Audit objective is to assure both District office and Central Office management that:
State and Federal regulations as well as Department policies are being adhered to.
The practices, procedures, and control of data.
The supporting data is valid and properly chargeable to the affected project.
Responses to Audit Findings. Within 30 days of receipt of an audit
report containing findings, the Resident Engineer will respond in writing to the Assistant Chief Engineer for Operations to indicate the actions taken to remedy the situations noted
in the Audit Report. the Internal Audit information).

SECTION 126 MICRO, PALM, AND LAPTOP COMPUTERS
126.01 (a) General. Each Resident Engineer has several computers, complete with printers. A number of programs have been written for these computers that will perform many time consuming and tedious tasks in addition to word processing. Detailed technical instructions for the use of each of these programs were furnished with the software.
Use of the computers and associated programs is REQUIRED for estimates and daily reports. (Note exception on ETicket System.)
(b) Programs. Computer software authorized for use in Resident Engineer offices are those programs and applications that meet one of the following general requirements:
Furnished to the Resident Engineer Office by Computer Services Division
Furnished to the Resident Engineer Office by the Central Office Construction
Written or developed in a Resident Engineer's Office and approved by the State Construction Engineer
Purchased by a Resident Engineer Office with Department funds and with the approval of the State Construction Engineer or the Computer Services Division.
