2003 SPECIFICATIONS

SECTION 105

The Resident Engineer will inform the District Engineer sufficiently in advance of

the anticipated completion of a construction contract to permit a preliminary inspection by District personnel. Upon completion of a project, the Resident Engineer and the District Engineer will determine which Divisions and/or agencies should be represented at the Final Inspection. On Projects with FHWA Oversight, this information, along with a suggested time and date for the inspection, will then be provided to the Construction Office so the Final Inspection can be scheduled with the appropriate offices. This may be

done verbally or by memorandum.

On projects with State Oversight, these arrangements

are handled by the District or the Resident Engineer.
