Central review and approval procedures are in place in respect of major areas of risk such as acquisition and disposal of assets, major contracts, capital expenditure, litigation, treasury management, taxation
and environmental issues.
Recruitment and Retention of Effective Personnel The professionalism and competence of staff is maintained through a formalized recruitment process, annual appraisal and remuneration review system and a variety of training and development programs to ensure that appropriate people of caliber are selected and retained.
Monitoring of the System of Internal Control
The Group’s Internal Audit Department performs regular reviews of business processes to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and highlight significant risks impacting the Group with recommendation for improvement to the Audit Committee.
