Life Publishers continues to perform well and has enjoyed strong growth in advertising revenue. Life Publishers has one tabloid newspaper and 19 magazines in its stable. Life Publishers continued to push into the exhibition sector with the highly successful Bridal Fair and Angling and Outdoor Recreation Fair.
Life Publishers will leverage its market leading brands to broaden its coverage of key sectors and diversify its earnings from sponsorship, exhibitions and electronic media.
Citta Bella also continued to be profitable. Mommy Baby, launched in October 2003, is the largest-selling
monthly parenting magazine in the country, but it has yet to break even.
Nanyang.Com is the most popular Chinese website in the country, and it is the only website in Malaysia
providing news videos. We will continue to look for ways to increase e-commerce opportunities and expand content in the year ahead.
We began developing our multi-media skills last year by producing short features for a 13-episode season on Channel 9 TV. We have been training some our journalists to be newsreaders, TV presenters and multi-

During the year, the Group continued to lead in social work and charity. Our latest contribution is a dialysis center in Kuala Lumpur, set up by the Nanyang Press Foundation and operated by the Tung Shin Hospital. treatment to low-income patients.
On 26 December 2004, a cataclysmic tsunami devastated the shores of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, South India, Malaysia and other countries in the Indian Ocean. Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press worked hand-in-hand with the Nanyang Press Foundation to set up a Tsunami Relief Fund, which raised a total of RM4.2 million in aid of survivors and families of victims of the tsunami.
