On 9 April 2005, Nanyang Siang Pau joined hands with E.Excel Sdn Bhd to organize a charity show “My Dream” in Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil, with performers from the China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe. Audiences were amazed by the disabled people’s performances especially ‘the thousand-hand Guan Yin’.

China Press celebrated its Tampoi printing plant opening and Johor Bahru office relocation on 24 April 2005. Together are Minister of Housing and Local Government, Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Ting, Chairman of NPHB, Tan Sri Dato’ Wong See Wah, China Press’ CEO, Mr. Liew Sam Ngan, Editor in-Chief, Mr. Chong Choong Nam and staff.

In conjunction with Citta Bella’s 8th Anniversary in May 2005, a fashion and beauty road show was organized in Bandar Utama's 1 Utama Shopping Mall. It featured fashion shows, make-up demonstrations and live performances.

Special Weekly magazine organized the Crystal Angel Pageant Competition on 22 May 2005. The champion was Ms. Lim Ching Wah (middle); first runner-up was Ms. Teoh Chin Yee (left) and second runner-up was Ms. Lee Pei Chyi (right).

About 800 participants took part in the “11th Nian Shao Qing Youth Camp” held at Air Keroh, Melaka on 5 to 7 June 2005. China Press and Nian Shao Youth Club jointly organized the camp.
