compare each student’s observations
*Relate to life
*Have them look at the bark, leaves, if you can see any roots, etc.
*Have them write the observations on a piece of paper to bring back to class.
The next day- discuss and compare what each of the students observed.
*Discuss how important each part of the tree is and compare it to us as human beings.
*Our parts protect us from damage.
*Inquiry because they are anxious to go home and find different trees.
*Cognitive development because the students are beginning to understand more and use their new knowledge.
*Integrated/Thematic instruction is used when the students are able to apply what the new skills they have learned outside of school
*Collect group data and analysis
*Mark in grade book as Tree Stations
*Full 10pts for working with group
*Receive star or sticker
*Each student working in group gets points
*Have students hand in their groups’ data and analysis from the stations and their TQPDAC that they made as a group.
*Mark in grade book as Tree Stations. 10 points total
*Students get full points for working with their group and using the information. Receive a star or sticker on their work.
*Put a 10 down in grade book for each student in the group for doing the assignment.
