*Present students with situation

*Ask what is going to happen

*Discuss their results

*Give students a situation such as:  Pretend you are at the beach.  So far it has been warm and sunny all day but then you can see a dark line of clouds moving from the west.

*Ask what they think is going to happen.

*Explain that you can look at the clouds to help determine the weather and that they are going to learn what certain rain/snow clouds look like.

*Hand out TQPDAC for students to fill out. TQPDAC is attached.

*Explain that they can use the internet to find their answers.  Websites will be available on the sheet and saved on the computer as before.

*Mention to students that the link for the website is saved on the computer desktop.

*Once done with their TQPDAC have them discuss what they discovered as a class.

*Inquiry because the students are curious again and will want to learn more.

*Constructivism because they will be building on to their previous knowledge about clouds.

*Higher order thinking analysis because they have to classify and interpret the new information.

*Auditory learning because we are discussing and talking about what we learned.

*Problem Based Learning because the students are given a problem and they need to form a new idea


*Hand out take home worksheet

*Explain how clouds tell us what the day is going to be like

*Explain that they have to match the clouds to the answer

*After discussing their TQPDAC’s and what they discovered hand out a worksheet for the students to take home as homework.

*Explain to students that clouds tell us a lot about what kind of day it is going to be.  You can look to the sky each day to determine if you think it is going to rain, be sunny out, or cloudy with no sun.

*Explain that they are to match the different clouds to what kind of day it is going to be by using the knowledge that they learned

*Constructivism because they are learning more by continuing to use their new knowledge.

*Visual learning because they are looking at the worksheet and answering the questions.
