Matter song (Handout)
Review what matter is as a class. Briefly describe solids, liquids, and gases.
Sing the matter song as a class (see handout for song)
Put children into groups of 4-5 students.
Discuss briefly the 4 centers each child will be visiting. Make sure to show students how each one will be ran and what they have to do at each center.
Each center should last about 40 mins each.
-Cognitive Theory-because I am tapping into what students have already know and giving new information.
-Learning Modalities-children are using their skills of singing and verbal skills to sing the song of matter in class.
-Thematic Instruction-children are learning science while also reading and singing in class.
-Problem Based-Learning-children are taking what they have previously known of matter and connecting it with the new information.
