SWING SO High, Touch the Sky!
: If a 1st grader and a 6th grader were swinging together, who would go faster?
Stand behind a swing and push.
Use stopwatch to time how long it takes for the swing to come back to you.
Time empty swing and time swing with people on it without pumping but make sure everyone starts at the same height.
Put results and each persons weight into the data table.
Write down observations and any questions you may have.
: Write your data observations on a poster board which will be shared with the class.
: Based on the data do you feel that weight made a difference in how fast a swing moves. State why you came up your conclusion.
