An exciting new season awaits

We have an exciting year ahead, with some of classical music’s most well-respected orchestras and performers making their Classical Music Alive debuts, some old friends returning to Reading and the brightest new talents from across the globe.

But perhaps most exciting of all is our new relationship with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who we welcome as The Hexagon’s new orchestra in residence. This partnership will see them perform on three separate occasions, culminating in a stunning all-Prokofiev programme with one of the world’s most celebrated pianists, Martha Argerich.

The theme of the world’s greatest pianists continues throughout the season. Opening with the outstanding Radu Lupu in October, we also welcome performances by John Lill, Mitsuko Uchida, Paul Lewis and Tatyana Polianskaya before closing with the supreme Canadian pianist, Angela Hewitt in June.

We can also welcome new associations with the Berkshire Federation of the Women’s Institute, the Museum of Reading’s Reminiscence Service and the Berkshire Record Office who each proudly support a concert in the new season.

We hope you are as passionate about the season ahead as we are, so why not take advantage of our fantastic subscription packages? Available for bookings of 5-8, 9-12 and 13+ concerts, you could save up to 30% on the price of your booking (up to £150). All of our packages are eligible for payment by Direct Debit if you book by Friday 1 August to help spread the payment over the course of the year.

Enjoy the new season, and thank you for your continued support of Classical Music Alive in Reading.
