This project is not only a means to give back to our host city of New Orleans, it’s also a fun, interactive way to get to know your peers and do something for the community at the same time.

The Southeast Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross hands out more than 3,000 Comfort Kits to those aected by disaster each year. A Comfort Kit provides simple necessities such as soap, toothpaste and other items. USFN volunteers will be creating much needed Comfort Kits during this project.

Before heading to the Red Cross, you will be taken through areas hit hardest by Hurricane Katrina, such as the Lower Ninth Ward. You will not only witness the devastation, but see the recovery and rebuilding taking place.

Be sure to sign up during registration and support this wonderful project.
