Microbiological recycling of petroleum pollution

Abstract

The faculty of genetics and microbiology of the Kuban State University within 20 years develops approaches to liquidation sludges and soil from hydrocarbons. Recultivation conducts in situ, or on the specially equipped ranges - time and stationary. The basic direction in recultivation is biological detoxication, consisting at a distance from object of clearing of toxic fractions that results in acceleration of process bioremediation. The laboratory of the centre is equipped with the modern microbiological equipment that allows to conduct monitoring and to spend duly updating process of clearing, and also to develop individual approaches to each concrete object depending on physical, chemical and microbiological parameters. In a collection of faculty is from above 200 strains oiloxydize microorganisms, characterized on ability to oxidation of various fractions of hydrocarbons, switching and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that enables to create consortia of the microorganisms, capable to liquidate any types of hydrocarbonic pollution and it is essential to speed up processes bioremediation. The part strains collections has a high degree of stability to salts of heavy metals which contents in sludges can exceed allowable norms in tens times that allows a message of work even at their increased concentration in object of clearing. All strains microorganisms used in bioremediation have markers that constant supervision enables a message behind them during clearing. Only for last 6 years efforts of employees of faculty possible to clear of mineral oil about 20000 tons sludges. After clearing all soil comes back in technical, and at inclusion in technology bioremediation vegetative stage and in agricultural using.
