If a facility does not have a continuous emissions monitoring system and the operator chooses to add one in order to measure CO2 concentrations, the operator shall select and operate the CEMS pursuant to the requirements in 4 0 C F R P a r t 7 5 . T h e o p e r a t o r s h a l l u s e C O 2 c o n c e n t r a t i o n s a n d f l u e g a s f l o w m e a s u r e m e n t s t o d e t e r m i n e h o u r l y C O 2 m a s s e m i s s i o n s u s i methodologies provided in 40 CFR Part 75, Appendix F. The operator shall report CO2 emissions for the report year in metric tonnes based on the sum of hourly CO2 mass emissions over the year, converted to metric tonnes. Method for Calculating CO2 Emissions from Combustion of Biomass, Municipal Solid Waste, or Waste Derived Fuels with Biomass.
The operator shall use the following method to calculate CO2 emissions in the report year from combustion of biomass solid fuels or municipal solid waste.
(A) CO2 emissions from combusting biomass or municipal solid waste shall be calculated using the following equation:
