In these lessons, some techniques are used such as narration, discussion, illustration, brain-storming, observation, question-answer, drama and group work, electronic class activities, analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, test studies, teaching through discovery etc. Some activities such as trip, observation, interview and exhibition are used in order to make pupils relate the projects to life.
Providing the individual with thinking and problem solving skills, mathematics contributes to the development of individual in many aspects. It is aimed to hold this benefit at the top for each pupil through this program. Therefore, in the implementation of the subject:
It is aimed to raise a positive attitude toward mathematics and endear it to pupils.
Pupils are enabled to understand that Mathematics is existent in daily life and realize that mathematical thinking
helps them solve each problem encountered in daily life.
Computer, educational technology and its methods are used in parallel to the objectives.
Subjects are delivered by using different methods.
To determine the strong or weak aspects of the pupils in learning Mathematics, unit comprehension examinations are administered at each grade level on a regular basis. Upon the results, each pupil is given help to carry on his development.
Project studies are held in line with the pupils' analytical inclinations and interests toward mathematics. Whilst encouraging the pupil to make a research in the area that he is interested in, he is also provided with the responsibility of working in a team in a planned manner.
COLLEGES AND ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL
At colleges GCE/IGCES programs are implemented. Efforts have been made to reach the international standards in terms of the programs. At Anatolian High School, English based programs are implemented. The quality of these programs is constantly being developed.
