Fine Arts High school also offers programs for adults with the coordination of Continuous Training Centers subject to the Department of Vocational and Technical Education within the understanding of "lifelong learning".

SPECIAL EDUCATION

Pupils with severe hearing and visual impairment, mental disability, emotional disturbance, or severe orthopedic impairment are prepared for integration in the mainstream school community and later on for integration in society. Regulatory measures are taken to give suitable public education to pupils with functional impairment in school setting.

The Special Education Unit proposed to be established determines the problems that the pupils face and develops solutions in order to turn classroom implementations into learning opportunities.

At schools special environments and/or special groups/classes are gradually set up in line with each pupil's medical, psychological, speech, hearing and educational history. Pupil's instructional process and program are evaluated. Parents are offered consulting services as well. Based on the results of such evaluation, the pupil may attend a regular classroom with an itinerant teacher or resource teacher in a resource or special room, in a group or in a classroom in the school. All these pupils are entitled to the individualized instruction they need at all levels in line with their special status, interests and abilities.
