The ADS Charlotte Chapter stayed busy these past couple of months. In addition to our weekly Arabic school, we held many get-togethers and parties to celebrate the various holidays.
In October we threw a spooky Halloween Party. Members had a blast dressing up and watching our children compete in games like “The flying bats” and “Wrap Your Dad Up Like a Mummy”.
In November, we all got together and celebrated Thanksgiving. With tables overflowing with delicious food, it truly felt like we were one huge family—we all had so much to be thankful for.
In December we celebrated Eid Al Adha, & in honor of this holiday, our ladies hand stitched a beautiful, large Druze Flag. We spent the night enjoying one another’s company, eating stuffed lamb, & celebrating our heritage.
Finally, we held our annual New Years Party in the Hilton Hotel. We brought in the year 2008 with each other doing the dabkee and dancing to Naji H’lal and the Waves Band.
We are looking forward to this New Year and all it will bring!
