Dallas Chapter Announces the “Micro-Convention
A Successful Premier Regional Event: A Micro-Convention with A Tri- Chapter format: Dallas with Killeen, Oklahoma, and Houston. A THANK YOU FROM DALLAS goes To ALL who Made the Trip and MADE IT A POSSIBLE AND MEMORABLE Event.
Last weekend Mar. 22-23, 2008 was a Great Weekend Full of Suc- cessful Events with our Brothers and Sisters Families who traveled from Houston, Oklahoma and Killeen to be with Our DFW Families. We in Dallas have been successful in bringing in a First! A Regional Tri-Chapters Families get together to meet, enjoy and make new friendships and refresh the old ones forever.
Thank You DFW for this Great Weekend and Warmed us up with your Hearts and Presence.
The Picnic was at
the Fabulous Bob
Jones Park, fishing pavilion in Southlake. The Warmth of those who attended made us go through the chill of that Sunday until the sun showed up at the close of our prayers
(…”Devine Coincidence?!”…) no one had left.
We want to thank as well our big brother Sheikh Samah Helal for his prayers and the Faith Education sessions he conducted to the Young and the Adults in our communi- ties.
We all enjoyed the great company, the great picnic and the great evening at the new “Al-Amir” Restaurant with the great food, Belly Dancing and the Traditional Dabke. Our Guests Enjoyed as well their stay at the Marriott. Thank you Dr. Rabih Suki and Dr. Samer Souki for their Hearts and Encouragement. Our Big Thank you goes for the generosity, the Great Coordination and the Execution of such an event with our Brothers Souhail Ghaoui, President of the Houston Chapter, Ameen Halabi, President of the Okalhoma Chapter and our board member, sister Rima Assed of Killeen with all the Families and Friends who made the trip.
Our VERY Special Thanks go to our DFW LADIES for their Generous Home-Made Sweets which Crowned their serving and coordinating of the sumptuous BB-Q Meal, followed by the Traditional Arabic Bitter Coffee and the Egg- Hunt with gifts and prizes for the Kids. I can Whole heartedly say that we have a great New Women's Auxiliary at the ADS DFW-Chapter.
We Love you and Love our Families. Our Aim with this Premier Micro- Convention Program is to encourage more of these successful low cost Re- gional functions among Multiple Chapters in nearby States.
Join Us in Keeping this Community Alive and Healthy and Renew your Families Memberships. Together We Can.
The Few the Proud the Druze, God Be With You All.
