Electronic Service Agent for i5/OS V5R3 Simplified Activation User Guide - Version 1.0
This document provides simplified activation steps for Service Agent hardware problem reporting and service information transmission Electronic Service Agent and its simplified activation are supported on all IBM ~ i5 machine types and models running the ~ i5/OS operating system Release V5R3.
The simplified activation procedure is designed for:
A single ~ i5 system or partition;
Clients who do not have an attached PC running iSeries Navigator;
Clients who would prefer not to go through a longer and complex install and
activation using iSeries Navigator.
Note: The simplified activation is an entirely “green screen” user interface.
If you would like to collect and transmit service information for groups of systems and/or partitions, use Management Central via iSeries Navigator.
