Latino Night with the Toledo Mud Hens on July 27
Toledo: The 6th Annual Latino Scholarship Day with the Toledo Mud Hens is this Sunday, July 27, 2008, at the Fifth Third Field in downtown Toledo, according to Bob Salazar, a member of the Spanish American Organization (SAO) that is promoting the event in collaboration with La Prensa.
“Last year 600 tickets were sold and this year we expect sales to exceed 750,” said Salazar—the game is sold-out.”
“Tickets are $10, with $8 going to the Toledo Mud Hens and $2 being retained for Latino Schol- arships to Owens Commu- nity College and Lourdes College,” added Rico of La Prensa. Seating for the
purchased tickets are in sec- tions 117 and 118 (first-base entrance).
At 6:00PM, field activi- ties prior to the game include: SAO scholar- ships will be awarded to sev- eral students of Lourdes Col- lege and Owens Community College. A La Prensa $500 scholarship will also be awarded to a senior of St. Francis de De Sales High School, who is a member of LASSO and attending college
