Holiday Decoration And Display Contest

Ho. Ho. Ho. Hop in your sleigh and join the fun. Check out Hasbrouck Heights’ festive displays on The Boulevard and in your neighborhood with yards, homes, lamp posts and doors seasonally dressed for

the holidays. Judging is Satur- day and Sunday, December 12 & 13, with final selections on Monday, December 14, 2009. This annual tradition is spon- sored by the Mayor’s Celebra- tions Committee. ###

Christmas Tree Sale

The Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad will be offer- ing a variety of trees ranging from 4 foot to 9 foot Balsams, Douglas and Fraser firs as well as “Charlie Brown Trees.” They will also be selling deco- rated Christmas wreaths.

Bring the kids for fun with arts & crafts. There will be an assortment of Santa hats, stock- ings and ornaments for your kids to design and customize.

The Christmas Tree Sale is located at the squad build- ing, 121 Moonachie Road and runs through December 24th. Elves are waiting 24 hours per day/7 days per week for your convenience. Delivery avail- able upon request.

Proceeds will benefit the- upkeep of the building and equipment. ###

Santa Visits the AHOF

Santa is scheduled to depart the North Pole at Midnight and is expected to arrive at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Aviation Hall of Fame. Santa will have candy and gifts for the kids.

Bring your camera for this photo opportunity! Children under 6 (six) years of age will be able to meet and greet Santa Claus inside the museum free of charge, when accompanied by an adult.

The museum will open at 10:00 a.m. to accommodate expected interest in this special event, and the public is advised to arrive early in order to obtain good parking.

The visit of Santa Claus is presented annually by the New Jersey Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum, located at 400 Fred Wehran Drive, Teterboro, NJ. For more info call 201-288- 6344. ###

Story Hour With Santa

Story Hour with Santa at The Hasbrouck Heights Free Public Library, located at 320 Boulevard is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The annual event is for preschool children up to 3rd Grade.
