NEW SCOPE STATEMENTS

Technical Correlating Committee on Flammable and Combustible Liquids

This Committee shall have primary responsibility for documents on safeguarding against the fire and explosion hazards associated with the storage, handling, and use of flammable and combustible liquids. This Committee shall also have responsibility for defining; and classifying flammable and combustible liquids.

Responsible for NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.

NFPA 30 Technical Committee on Fundamentals

This Committee shall have primary responsibility for documents or portions of documents on the basic requirements for safeguarding against the fire and explosion hazards associated with the storage, handling, and use of flammable and combustible liquids. This Committee shall also have responsibility for definitions specifically related to flammable and combustible liquids and for criteria for the classification of flammable and combustible liquids.

Responsible for Chapters 1 through 8 and Annexes G and H of NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.

NFPA 30 Technical Committee on Operations

This Committee shall have primary responsibility for documents or portions of documents on safeguarding against the fire and explosion hazards associated with operations that involve the handling, use, dispensing, and transfer of flammable and combustible liquids, either as a principal activity or as an activity that is incidental to other activities.

This Committee shall also have primary responsibility for documents or portions of documents on safeguarding against the fire and explosion hazards associated with specific operations that involve the handling, use, dispensing, and transfer, and use of flammable and combustible liquids.

Responsible for Chapters 17 through 20, 28, and 29 and Annex F of NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.

NFPA 30 Technical Committee on Storage and Warehousing of Containers and Portable Tanks

This Committee shall have primary responsibility for documents or portions of documents on safeguarding against the fire and explosion hazards associated with the storage, warehousing, and display merchandising of flammable and combustible liquids in containers whose capacity does not exceed 450 L (109 gallons), portable tanks whose capacity does not exceed 2500 L (660 gallons), and intermediate bulk containers whose capacity does not exceed 3000 L (793 gallons).

Responsible for Chapters 9 through 16 and Annexes D and E of NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.
