Ron DeLeonardis Jr. Executive Chef Creative Catering Chairman, ACF Syracuse Chapter
Chef Ron is one of the founding members of the American Culinary Federation, Syracuse, NY chapter. He proudly served as President for four years and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2001 Ron received the Chapter’s highest honor, the “Chef of the Year Award”. In 1988, Ron co-founded Creative Catering with wife and partner Lynn, specializing in unique, fun and exciting special events and weddings.
Brian Shore, CEC Executive Chef Century Club of Syracuse Board Membe , ACF Syracuse
Chef Shore has served as Executive Chef eleven times and this is his 22nd Great Chefs Dinner. Chef Shore has served many capacities including President, Vice-President and currently the Board of Directors. In 2004, he earned his certification from National as Executive Chef and in 1998, was awarded Chef of the Year from the Syracuse Chapter. Chef Shore has served as Executive Chef in many fine dining restaurants including the Arad Evans, Brewster Inn and Kettle Lakes.
John Melnyczuk, CCC Executive Chef / Owner Welcome Inn Board Membe , ACF Syracuse
AKA Pitmaster Big Papa John Melnyczuk of the Welcome Inn. Chef John is in his 27th year serving Eastern European Food at the restaurant and competition quality BBQ for his catering line. His passion for cooking and learning shows as a perpetual student of the Culinary Institute of America and his plan to return to school when he retires. In 2003, the ACF Syracuse Chapter awarded Chef Melnyczuk Chef of the Year.
Bill Gokey Executive Sous Chef Morrison Healthcare
Chef Gokey is currently Executive Sous Chef for Morrison Management Specialists at Upstate Medical University. He has spent his life in food service progressing from restaurants to university and on to healthcare. After seven years as Catering Manager at Upstate, Bill moved back into the kitchen and is now pursuing the Morrison Executive Chef Certification.
Tom Kiernan Executive Chef Morrison Healthcare
Chef Tom is the new Executive Chef for Morrison Healthcare, SUNY Upstate Medical University. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Tom has spent his life in foodservice- progressing from restaurants, to corporate dining, to owning his own café & catering company for 12 years with his wife Mary- also a CIA graduate. Prior to Morrison, Tom was the Executive Chef at SUNY Cortland for 4 years and Chef de Cuisine on campus at Cornell University for 7 years.
