5.2.6 Effect of Bit interleaver

The effect of bit interleaving on the performance of different modulation and coding schemes has been observed here. It can be seen from the Figure 5.30 and 5.31 that bit interleaver gains 2.2 dB SNR improvement at BER level of 10­3 and 1 dB improvement at B L E R l e v e l o f 1 0 ­ 2 f o r B P S K .
