many other parts of this big brown land. In August 2003, The Darlow Show performed at the Mercury Lounge at Crown Casino as a part of Launching Pad series. In February 2004, Scott Darlow performed around Australia as the support act for Grammy award nominated and Dove award winning band the Paul Colman Trio. The Darlow Show have sold over
2000 copies of "Be With You" without any distribution in just over 18 months.
The Darlow Show have been written about twice by Melbourne's biggest newspaper The Herald Sun, once by The Western Australian (Perth's largest newspaper) and have been featured in many local newspapers. The Darlow Show were also featured on channel 9 news Perth when the boys played "Sorry" live from Subiaco Oval and Scott was interviewed about the band's vision. The Darlow Show have also been featured in a front page story in the Salvation Army publication The War Cry, as well as the Baptist Witness.
The first single from the bands debut album (title track also called Be With You) went to number two on America's number one Gospel rock station Call FM Florida after only three weeks, and saw The Darlow Show sitting above acts such as POD and Lifehouse. Be With You also saw three singles from the album get extensive airplay on community radio in Australia, with Love Everlasting entering the top 20 on the Rock across Australia Charts. The Darlow Show were also a finalist in the 2003 Gospel awards for best new artist.
August of 2004 saw the Darlow Show return to Melbourne after several months on the road and perform at favorite Melbourne venue the Evelyn Hotel. The band then did a farewell acoustic gig at the Soak Bar on August 18th, which was recorded and is now avail- able as a live album, before heading off again for the rest of the year.
Stay tuned for the live DVD. This live recording features favorite tracks from the first album, as well as a handful of acoustic versions off the next studio album. Five of the tracks are just Scott doing a solo show, and six are full five-piece acoustic band tracks.
They are free, and will only be performing at the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair.
