Drawing and Design P (B6552) Through this course, students explore, understand, create, evaluate, and criticize art. The framework of the course is the visual elements and principles of design, style, evaluation, and criticism. Students research and explore art history from ancient to the present within the individual project context.

Sculpture P (B6554) This course will introduce students to three-dimensional design and art composition utilizing clay and other ceramic materials. A variety of techniques will be surveyed while exploring the expressive and creative possibility clay materials provide students. Emphasis is placed on students investigating and developing their own artistic abilities and creative potential.
Studio Art P ( B6540 ) Studio Art for 9th and 10th graders is an art class for students interested in considering art as a college major or as a career. It is a foundation class stressing basic art and design skills while surveying a variety of art making techniques and materials. The general goal of the class is to begin to develop and create a portfolio of art work often required for entrance into art schools, more advanced classes or artistic careers.
Art Leadership (B6970) Designed for 11th and 12th grade students, the major goals of Art Leadership are to examine, teach, and create school and community-based large scale art projects in various activities and forms. This idea further extends the class and also engages the students in the process of creating, curating and operating art spaces and gallery exhibitions of art both on and off campus. Students will serve as active participants in developing a project or exhibition concept, writing a proposal, researching relevant artists/artwork, and developing and executing development and promotional materials.
AP Studio Art (B6566) AP Art Studio is a course that prepares you for building a portfolio. Within AP Art Studio, there are 3 categories to pick from: 2-D Design, Drawing, and 3-D Design. This is a very rigorous course that demands hard work and follow through, but what you will walk away with is something you can be very proud of and use it to show potential colleges, clients, and/or galleries.
