ASB (Leadership) (Y8682) ASB is not just a class, it is an experience. Within the leadership class, students are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones by public speaking, delegating tasks and organizing events geared towards entertaining hundreds of their peers, they also plan a majority of SDA’s school wide events. Homecoming week, Battle of the Bands, Exhibition Day, Winter Formal and Prom are just a few of the things executed in Leadership. Individual Learning Project (y8689) This class will be offered to Juniors and Seniors who would like to explore an area for which they have great passion. Students will propose a project for approval and spend the semester working towards a final product and paper to be presented to a panel of experts. In taking this course, students will gain a deeper understanding of their chosen area, establish skills to work independently towards a goal and engage students in the broader community.

Physical Education Weight Training (P0575) Weight training is a class where all students can train to achieve their individual goals. We have all kinds of equipment that makes that possible. We stretch, walk, and train each day. We train our midsections (belly busting) one day each week. This class is for EVERYONE! A great way to get fit and stay fit!

Yoga (P0576) Yoga is a positive PE experience! Students learn basic & traditional Hatha Yoga practices along with core work using light equipment and Pilates. Relaxation techniques are also included. This class is perfect for students who are interested in benefiting from a greater range of motion, core strength, and deeper self awareness. Recommendation: Year One PE

Surf PE (P0573) Off Campus. Learn to surf at D Street or Cardiff reef. Lessons for beginning, intermediate, to professionals. Free surf to competition style. You will also learn lifesaving training, ocean safety and emergency first aide. Must have own transportation.
