Description of proposal or expertise:

Abstract: The development of cognitive systems for weakly formalized optimization problems is the area of investigation. Such problems arise in search of optimal variants of complex systems (technical, industrial, information, social and economic). Their feature is the impossibility of the optimization model definition in analytic form. Criteria and restrictions in such problems are usually set non-analytically: verbally, the schedules, modeling algorithms, tables of the data, etc. It complicates an aprioristic estimation of problems characteristics and reduces an opportunity of a choice of effective optimization procedures.

The cognitive approach is offered to be used for decision of this problem. The cognitive approach for making optimum decisions assumes studying extreme properties of objects during optimization and accumulation of this knowledge for subsequent use. The optimization task decision is carried out under the control of intellectual procedures. Intellectual procedures define strategy of the task decision on the basis of knowledge which has been saved up during use of various optimization methods.

Thus, the purpose of project is the development of intelligence cognitive decision-making support system used by optimization of complex objects and processes (information systems, social and economic systems).

Problems to be solved and results: Complex of models, algorithms and software support for weakly formalized objects optimization оn a basis of the cognitive approach.
