October 2006 PHCP Wholesaler Sales up 5.3% compared with 2005

The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating/L'Institut canadien de plomberie et de chauffage is the Canadian Association representing the interests of companies that manufacture, sell, and distribute Plumbing, Hydronic Heating, Industrial PVF and Waterworks products and services. CIPH Wholesalers operate over 600 warehouses and showrooms across Canada. Over 10,000 Canadians are directly employed by CIPH members. Total industry sales are over $4 billion.

October 2006 wholesalers' sales posted a good month with total sales at $435.5 million. Sales were slightly up by $ 7 million compared to September 2006 and up 5.3% compared to October 2005. Total year-to-date sales are now at $3.923 billion or up 9%. All Regions were up except for Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada when compared to October
