A total of 3,006 industry delegates attended CIPHEX West 2006- a 5% increase compared to 2004. CIPHEX West attracted professionals involved in the sale of plumbing, heating, hydronic (hot water) heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, electrical equipment, water treatment systems, tools, and kitchen and bath fixtures. There were a total of 225 exhibiting companies, including 38 of which were new to the show. The show also enjoyed significant attendance by consulting engineers, general contractors, building management and maintenance personnel, architects and interior designers.

A special feature at the CIPHEX West 2006 Trade Show was the “Green Stage”, which provided a platform for the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System®, business opportunities, upcoming technologies and “What’s Hot”.

The Gallery of New Products featured 27 of the best new products in the industry. Winners of the Most Innovative Product Contest included:

Plumbing Category: Erico Inc., Caddy Superfix 454 Split Ring Hanger;

Hydronics Category: Laars Heating Systems Company, Laars Mascot Unit;

Heating & Ventilation Category: Qualitec Distributors Inc., Even-Glo Patio Heater;

Tools and Equipment Category: G.F. Thompson Company Ltd., Flush Cut Saw Accessory.

CIPHEX West 2006 was co-located with York Communications' and MediaEDGE’s Construct Calgary Homebuilder & Renovator Expo, Buildex Calgary and Design Trends Calgary trade shows. Visitors to any of these shows received free admission to all of the exhibits.

The 2nd edition CMXCIPHEX 2008 will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, March 27 - 29, 2008. The combined strengths of CIPH and HRAI to present CMXCIPHEX under one roof is expected to once again deliver a world-class Canadian trade show for the mechanical industry.

This trade show and learning forum will feature products and services from the air conditioning, heating (forced air and hydronic), hearth, plumbing, piping, refrigeration and ventilation industries.
