On September 25, 2008, Sherwin- Williams Automotive Europe (SWAE) welcomed Christopher M. Connor, Chairman and CEO of The Sherwin- Williams Compan , to their European Headquarters based in Aprilia, Italy.
SWAE’s General Manager, John Corry, along with Automotive’s executives Tom Hablitzel, President and General Manager, Lynn Zarcone, Vice- President – International and Greg Sofish, Vice-President Human Resources, greeted Chris for a business review, site tour and SWAE’s first employee townhall meeting hosted by Mr. Connor.

Sherwin Williams is now determined to grow beyond the US and seek global growth, especially in the EMEA markets. Sherwin-Williams’ Automotive Division grew an amazing 8% in 2008, in a year where most competitors posted flat to minimal sales growth and profits.
Europe, Middle East, Africa and India will continue to be a key focus, continuing growth organically as well as through mergers and acquisitions.
