Taking a look at the price ranges by neighborhood helps to show where demand for roommate accommodations is highest. In the 1st half of 2008 prices in all neighborhoods continued to increase. Prices in Manhattan below 96th Street averaged around $1200 for all neighborhoods with prices in Uptown, Brooklyn and Queens averaging between $750 and $800 per month. Prices in Brooklyn and Queens showed the largest increase during the pe- riod increasing from $572 per month to $779 per month, 36%, between the 1st half of 2006 to the 1st half of 2008.

The neighborhoods chosen by our clients are an indicator of several factors including where the clients are working/going to school and what the typical budgetary requirements are.
