2010 PGSA All-Stars FAQs
Playing for a PGSA All-Star team is a significant commitment of time and money. Practices are several times a week, tournaments most every weekend (often out of town) leading up to the State tournaments in May and June.
Pearland All-Stars represent the entire Pearland Girls Softball Association. The highest standard of sportsmanship is expected from all players, managers, coaches, and parents involved in the All-Star Teams.
Some age divisions will have 2 All-Star Teams, the Pearland Power and the Pearland Force. Similar to an “A” team/ “B” team structure. The size of the division determines if there are enough players for 2 All-Star teams.
All players who wish to be considered for All Star play in any division must submit a Declaration of Commitment to their respective Division Directors by April 15, 2010.
4 year olds are not eligible for All-Stars
2010 All Star selection is Saturday, April 17th. All-Star Teams will be announced at the PGSA Closing Ceremonies on Sunday, April 18th, 2010.
No All Star players will be guaranteed any minimum playing time while involved in post-season play.
All Star teams will enter and play in PGSA League Tournaments when they are scheduled before entering and playing in any open tournaments unless otherwise exempted.
All Star managers will enter all ASA approved open tournaments throughout the season in which there are funds available to attend. The manager must enter the following tournaments and are funded (uniform and entry fees) by PGSA.

PGSA provides the entry fees for the District & State tournaments and one uniform per girl, and additional pool shirt and shirts for the coaches.
All-Stars are expected to raise their own funding of any additional monies needed to play in open tournaments, purchase of any additional uniforms, or any other expense.
