Major in Philosophy and Minor in Theology

*EMCVPA options include Dance, Music, Drama & Visual Arts. The greater part of the degree programme in each case is taught at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts. Applications must be qualified for entry to that Institution as well as UWI.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Subjects at CSEC (CXC) General Profi- ciency/GCE O-Level

  • Minimum of five (5) passes in CSEC

    • (CXC)

      General Proficiency (Grade I-

    • III)

      or GCE subjects

  • Compulsory - English Language

  • Strongly recommended - Geography/ a Foreign Language/ Mathematics/ History/ Literature

  • Advisable - in the absence of Math- ematics, a lab science subject is rec- ommended.

Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE)/GCE A-Level/Other Requirements

  • Passes in at least two 2-unit CAPE subjects or two GCE Advanced Level subjects, one of which must be a Hu- manities subject for which courses are taught at the University.

  • Individuals who wish to pursue a de- gree in Media & Communication, besides fulfilling the requirements for entry to the Faculty of Humanities and Education, are required to sit and pass a Media & Communication Test (usu- ally sat in mid April).

**Theology is offered in co-operation with the United Theological College of the West Indies.
