    An orientation meeting with the Graduate Committee (during the first semester of the student’s enrollment);

    A 3.0 average on the first 9 hours in graduate English courses. A student with a gpa below 3.0 will be allowed to enroll in approved courses in the major for one additional semester to raise the average to 3.0.

Master of Education in History Full Admission. Requirements for Admission are

  • 1.

    A baccalaureate degree in history or a related discipline;

  • 2.

    A 3.0 or better average on all undergraduate course work;

  • 3.

    A 3.25 or better average on all undergraduate course work in History;

  • 4.

    Submission of a graded writing assignment from an upper-level undergradu- ate history class and satisfactory performance on a Graduate Writing Proficiency Exam (to be administered and graded by the DSU History Department prior to admission).
