Complete a minimum of 33 semester hours of graduate work as specified. At least one-half of major field courses must be at “600” level.

Earn a grade point average of at least 3.0 in the major field and overall.

Earn a B average on the education core courses.

5.

Student must complete a teaching portfolio (NCATE option).

6.

Write and defend a thesis before a selected committee of faculty members or conduct an approved project under practicum supervision (Non-NCATE option);

7.

Students in the non-thesis track, in consultation with their advisors, have the option of an oral or written comprehensive examination. Committee compo- sition will be determined by the student with the advisor’s guidance.
