SUP. MOLINA: YEAH, IT'S HARD TO DEBATE THIS BECAUSE, I MEAN, THE FOOLISHNESS OF THIS THING SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. I MEAN, IT IS UNBELIEVABLE, AT A TIME LIKE THIS, WITH THE KIND OF CRISIS WE HAVE, WE JUST SPOKE ABOUT THE LIBRARY CRISIS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT STAFF IS DOING BUT IF THEY ARE WASTING TIME JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THIS, I'M AMAZED. WE HAVE SEVERE PROBLEMS ALL OVER THE COUNTY AND THERE ARE VARIOUS OPTIONS THAT NEED TO BE EXPLORED AS TO HOW WE'RE GOING TO BE CREATIVE AND THINGS OF THAT SORT. BELIEVE ME AND I AM A PET LOVER AND A PET OWNER. I MAKE MY DECISIONS OF WHAT KIND OF AMENITIES I WILL PROVIDE FOR MY PET AS A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER. I WOULD LOVE FOR US TO BE CHALLENGING AND LOOKING AT WAYS THAT WE'RE GOING TO PROVIDE HEALTHCARE COVERAGE TO ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES. WE HAVE PART-TIME EMPLOYEES WE'RE NOT PROVIDING HEALTHCARE COVERAGE TO THAT ARE OUR EMPLOYEES. AGAIN, AS I SAY, IT SPELLS FOOLISHNESS ALTOGETHER.

SUP. ANTONOVICH: LET ME SAY THAT THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ALREADY OFFERS THIS TO STATE EMPLOYEES AND OTHER COUNTIES, INCLUDING FRESNO, OFFERS IT TO THEIR EMPLOYEES.

SUP. MOLINA: AND THEY'RE IN A GREAT PREDICAMENT TODAY.
