SUP. YAROSLAVSKY: MR. CHAIRMAN, I'D LIKE TO ASK THAT WE ADJOURN IN THE MEMORY OF NATHAN AVRASHOW, WHO IS THE FATHER OF WAYNE AVRASHOW, WHO USED TO BE ON MY STAFF, AND WAS CONVENTION AUTHORITY COMMISSIONER. NATHAN PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY. HE WAS LONG-TIME FRIEND OF OUR OFFICE. HE'S SURVIVED BY HIS THREE SONS: WAYNE, AUSTIN, AND CRAIG, AND TWO GRANDSONS. ALSO ASK THAT WE ADJOURN IN THE MEMORY OF NORMAN HAROLD GOTLIEB, WHO IS THE FATHER OF KERRY GOTLIEB SILVERSTROM OF OUR DEPARTMENT OF BEACHES AND HARBORS. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY FOUR OTHER CHILDREN: GLEN, HILLARY, ALISE, AND BRETT, AND FOUR GRANDCHILDREN. I ASK THAT WE ADJOURN IN THE MEMORY OF EVELYN IDA MOGY, WHO DIED AT THE AGE OF 94, SURVIVED BY HER SON, JOEL, AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS. AND I ALSO WANT TO ASK THAT WE ADJOURN, I KNOW MR. ANTONOVICH MADE THE ADJOURNING MOTION, BUT ABE SPIEGEL PASSED AWAY ON SATURDAY MORNING AND WAS A GREAT LEADER IN THE COMMUNITY, ESPECIALLY IN THE JEWISH COMMUNITY, ACTIVE IN HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE ENDEAVORS. HE HIMSELF WAS A SURVIVOR OF AUSCHWITZ, HARROWING STORY OF HOW HE SURVIVED ON THE DEATH MARCH. I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF GOING TO AUSCHWITZ WITH HIM AND A NUMBER OF OTHER PEOPLE IN-- ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME HE'D BEEN BACK SINCE THE WAR AND IT WAS QUITE A REVEALING EXPERIENCE. HE DID A LOT FOR
