Anatomy of the female external genitalia
The female external genitals are collectively known as the vulva.
The labia minora is a thin membrane of folded skin just outside the vaginal opening.
The labia majora cover and protect the genital area(The external vaginal opening is enclosed by 2 pairs of lips or labia that surround and protect the vaginal and urethral openings). A clitoris, contains a dense supply of nerve endings which makes it highly sensitive to touch, pressure and temperature.
