What Student will write:

Writing Strategies Students will write clear and coherent sentences and paragraphs that consider the audience and purpose.

  • Group related ideas and maintain a consistent focus

  • Use descriptive words when writing

  • Create readable documents with legible handwriting

  • Understand the purpose of various reference materials (dictionary, thesaurus, atlas)

  • Revise original drafts to improve sequence and provide more descriptive detail
