New Findlay Restaurant To Donate Profits to CHOPIN

On March 22, 2013, the Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill will open its fourth restaurant. Located at 900 Interstate Drive in Findlay, the family-friendly restaurant will donate all profits from its opening night in Findlay to CHOPIN Hall. Watch for TV and radio spots advertising the event. 22, 2013,

During the holidays our community was very generous in its giving to help those in need. In addition to the increase in donations we received from individuals, several large donations were received from some area businesses. These donations included:

  • Frozen turkeys donated by TJD Industrial Cleaning & Maintenance and Family Video. In addition to donating the turkeys, employees from both companies helped pass them out from our food pantry.

  • A total of 5,764 lbs of frozen chicken was donated from Fresh Encounters. The store received the meat as a dona- tion from Miller’s Amish Meats.

  • Instead of exchanging holiday gifts with class members, Van Buren 1st, 2nd & 5th grade classes donated new chil- dren’s underwear and socks, as well as laundry and dish soap and shampoo to CHOPIN Hall.

  • In conjunction with Make A Difference Day, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church donated 371 jars of peanut butter and 379 jars of jelly to CHOPIN Hall.

  • The University of Findlay held a food drive, collecting 23

tons of food which was donated to CHOPIN Hall.

Thanks to the Findlay Young Professionals group for donating their time to paint portions of CHOPIN Hall. The 13 volunteers painted parts of the waiting room, donation area, and pantry, as well as painting our logo on a waiting room wall. The group had previously invited Marti to attend the Findlay Young Professional’s Kick-Off meeting to talk with attendees about CHOPIN Hall.
