Draft Delhi Grid Co-ordination Committee (Conduct of Business) Rules 2008
1. Short title and commencement:
i Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) under the provision of 86(1)(h) of Electricity Act 2003 has notified Delhi Grid Code (DGC) notified in the official gazette of Delhi on 22.04.2008
ii) As per the clause 6.2.1 of the aforesaid notification dated 22.04.2008, a Grid Co-ordination Committee (GCC) is required to be constituted with the following members.
One member from the State Transmission Utility (STU);
One member of the State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC);
One member to represent the generating companies in the State;
One member to represent Badarpur Thermal Power Station.(BTPS);
One member to represent the Transmission Licensee in the State, other than the State Transmission Utility;
One member each to represent the Distribution Licensees in the State;
One member to represent the Electricity Traders in the State;
One member to represent the Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre NRLDC);
Such other persons as may be nominated by the Commission.
The Chairperson shall be the member from State Transmission Utility.
Chairperson shall nominate one person from State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) as convener of GCC.
State Transmission Utility (STU) in co-ordination with State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) facilitate and manage the functioning of the Grid Coordination Committee. The Committee shall frame its own rule of business for the conduct of its meetings and other related matters. Thus the rules and conduct of business has been framed.
iii) These rules shall come into force from the date of its approval by the GCC and shall remain in force unless otherwise modified.
2.1 In these Rules unless the context otherwise requires:-
‘Act’ means the Electricity Act, 2003.
‘Agenda’ means the list of business proposed to be transacted at a meeting of the Committee.
‘Authority’ means Central Electricity Authority.
