Burning River Brass’ first project for Dorian Recordings, Of Knights and Castles, has met with critical acclaim. The album is a musical celebration of the pageantry and splendor of all things royal—from Arthurian legends to British majesty in our own century. The brass ensemble has also released a CD of Russian spectaculars including the complete Pictures at an Exhibition, March for the Love of Three Oranges, and A Little Russian Cir- cus, a brand new work composed for Burning River Brass by Anthony DiLorenzo. Their newest CD, “Romanza España, Span- ish Masterworks for Brass,” released in October 2003, showcases the passion of Spanish music and will feature selections from de Falla’s Three-Cornered Hat, Bizet’s Carmen, as well as works by Giminez, Sarasate, and Chapi.
