NASA PLANS SKYLAB ATTITUDE CHANGE PROCEDURES
As a result of successfulcontact with Skylab during
interrogationsfrom trackingstations in March and April, NASA
will attempt to uplink from Mission Control at Johnson Space
Center a series of attitudechange procedureswith Skylab beginning
early next month.
The activities,beginningJune l, involve putting a new
computerprogram into th onbomrd computer,using the attitude
control system to maneuver Skylab into the desired positionand
operating the control moment gyros to keep the spacecraftin that
mode. These proceduresshould be completed by mid-June.
