Item No. 9
REQUEST TO BE WITHDRAWN.
SUP-3-05-03: consider special use permit approval for MY HOME DAYCARE, to allow a home daycare with up to 12 children, in the PSF (Planned Single Family) zoning district, located at 6316 Aminda Street. Request submitted by Misty Knapp, owner.
Associate Planner Allmon explained that the applicant requested a special use permit to allow for the operation of group child care home for up to twelve (12) children as a home occupation at 6316 Aminda. After the legal notice and notification of property owners was made, the Woodland Park Homes Association advised the applicant that the request was not in compliance with the subdivision’s covenants and restrictions relating to the use of the home for a purpose other than a residence, especially since the applicant intended to have an employee report to the home to assist in the operation of the child care operation. As a result of this notification, the applicant has requested the special use permit be withdrawn. Since publication of the public hearing had been made, as well as the notification to surrounding property owners, the Planning Commission must consider formal action of the withdrawal of this request. A copy of the letter requesting withdrawal of this item is attached.
