The applicant is also responsible for maintaining such measures throughout construction until vegetation is established over the disturbed areas. Staff may require additional measures as may be necessary in the field to repair eroded areas and retain sediment on the development site. The applicant is responsible for installing such additional measures or repairing existing measures within 72 hours of receiving notification. All disturbed areas must be covered with sod, or seed and mulch, immediately following the completion of final site grading. All temporary measures must be removed once vegetation is established over the disturbed areas.
The applicant/homebuilder is responsible for submitting a Category II Plot Plan to the City in accordance with the “lot-to-lot” grading standards for each lot in the residential development prior to the issuance of any type of building permit.
The applicant is responsible for obtaining such permits as may be required by the Army Corps of Engineers (COE) for grading activities covered by Section 402 (Wetlands) and Section 404 (Waters of the United States) of the Clean Water Act.
The applicant is responsible for obtaining such permits as may be required by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) for grading activities covered by the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit Program. A copy of the application for any required permit must be submitted to the City prior to the issuance of any grading permit.
14.The applicant is responsible for scheduling a pre-design meeting with Engineering staff prior to preparing any public improvement plans. Individual sets of the final street, storm drainage, and street lighting plans must be submitted to the City for review and approval prior to commencing construction work on the site. These plans shall be prepared according to the standards in the Shawnee Manual of Technical Specifications and Design Criteria.
15.Prior to commencing construction work, the applicant must obtain one or more Public Improvements Permit for all street, storm drainage, and street lighting improvements required for the development site. All public improvements shall be constructed according to the standards in the Shawnee Manual of Technical Specifications and Design Criteria. No footing and foundation permits for the development shall be issued prior to the completion, inspection and acceptance of all required public improvements.
16.The Fire Chief shall approve all fire hydrant and fire lane locations. Any required hydrants shall be installed prior to issuance of a building permit.
17.The applicant is responsible for submitting a computation plat with the recording copies of the final plat. The computation plat should show the bearings and
