Here are the cap levels established for the Spring 2008 season at Winston Park.

Pre-T 4 teams of 8 to 12 players (32-48)

Shetland 8 teams of 12 players (96)

Pinto8 teams of 12 players (96)

Mustang 6 teams of 12 players (72)

Bronco6 teams of 12 players (72)

Pony3 or 4 teams of 12 to 13 players (36-52)

Colt/Palomino 1 team (potentially)

Once the cap levels are reached, waiting lists for each division will be formed.  Each age division is expected to fill quickly.  Winston Baseball will again be a strong organization during the Spring 2008 season.  Please register early to guarantee yourself a roster slot.

Winston Baseball uses the PONY (Protect Our Nations Youth) Baseball rules and regulations.  PONY Baseball’s Headquarters are located in Washington, Pennsylvania.  PONY Baseball provides the following age divisions; the registration rates listed are set by the Winston Baseball Board of Directors:

Ages 5-6: Shetland/T-ball with coach pitch option  ($90)

Ages 7-8:Pinto/Coach Pitch  ($100)

Ages 9-10:Mustang/Kid Pitch  ($110)

Ages 11-12: Bronco ($120)

Ages 13-14:Pony ($130)

Ages 15-18:Colt/Palomino ($140)

Winston Baseball also provides a Pre-T program/T-ball ($50) for four-year old players.

The registration fee is used to cover the player’s full basic uniform (socks, pants, belt, shirt and cap), umpire fees, league insurance and PONY charter fees.  There is a $10 discount for each additional child of the same family that registers to play.  Please provide a copy of each player’s birth certificate during registration or prior to the first game.  A fee of $20 will also be assessed for each returned check.

League Age is the age attained by a player prior to May 1st for the specific year in question (i.e. 2008).  

Player Evaluations:  Player Evaluations will be held for the Pinto, Mustang, Bronco and Pony age divisions.  Player Evaluations will be conducted at the Diamond Starz Academy in Douglasville.  The player evaluations will be used to gauge a player’s skill level for purposes of forming the teams during the team draft process.  Each coaching staff in each specific age group is responsible for assessing the skill level of the players in their respective age draft pool.
