The U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) is exploring the development and deployment of a fully connected transportation system. As part of this effort, the U.S. DOT has established a Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to- Infrastructure (V2I) Technology Test Bed that is a real-world, operational environment that offers the supporting vehicles, infrastructure, and equipment to serve the needs of public and private sector testing and development activities.
