This session address casting applications and technology. A keynote address by Prof. Druschitz followed by presentations from world-renowned experts on advanced materials like Austempered Ductile Iron, high temperature and innovative cast materials for use in critical automotive applications will conclude this session.
Focusing on analysis and enhancement of vehicle handling dynamics, braking/traction performance and active stability under the influence of loading and tire force: system modeling/simulation, testing and optimization; correlations of simulation results, objective measurements and subjective judgments of load impacts on vehicle dynamics characteristics; vehicle/chassis control systems; impact of system hybridization/ electrification on vehicle dynamics/control.

Papers are invited on various aspects of developments and applications of optical measurement and nondestructive testing techniques in automotive engineering. Topics include shape and dimension gauging of components and full vehicle bodies, stress and strain analysis, applications to NVh, nondestructive testing and quality inspection, design verification and optimization, manufacturing tool for quality improvement and cost reduction, etc.
