Café Wayan (Monkey Forest Road – Tel # 361-97-4629 – www.alamindahbali.com)
Ibu Wayan’s Café started as a small Warung - it was a little bamboo hut of a food stall where Ibu Wayan first sold coffee to the rice farmers on what is now Monkey Forest Road. Ibu also means “mother” and Ibu’s husband Ketut, a traditional artist, soon began designing accommodations and gardens. Ibu Wayan and Pak Ketut have now created a network employing over 130 staff and contributing to their communities.
